Breathless voices
Trumpet like a hissing vapor
From the corners of the room
where pillars of black
pulse like heaving lungs
At the edge of two ceremonies
One with open eyes
The other through which we see
There we are pilgrims
Born bare and unadorned
Beset with horrors
A black wilderness of perfection
In its vastness
a glowing blaze from afar
And around the flames of hope we gather
Until embers we become
Weightless and scattered
We drift into a black, starless night

The circle has opened
Give of thine hearts and tongues
Be cloaked in scarlet satin
Awake in dreams /
repose in an airless chamber
Breathe of the light
radiate with splendour in death
Occluded by nothing; revealed by all
The circle has opened
Resonate breath from thine vessel
Cradled by formless chosen
Awake in dreams /
Blaze in the cosmic unfurled
Hand of the light
A herald of nothing
Wands ignite
Unveil and reveal
The headless who ask not why nor because
They are seekers
but not of the light
Their hands outstretched
a lightning bolt in right
a wand of branches in left, the ophidian betwixt
these are the symbols of the lost
For the work of the wand and want
pales against the works of the Infinite
Those who will perish will be our chosen
We welcome them, those unseen
just beyond the veil of shadows
And in the corners of the chamber
They will be lifted up and rejoiced
